The three sections of the Coat of Arms of the Association recall the origins of the family.
The first section: represents the fortifications of Fribourg, Switzerland where Pierre Miville was said to have been born. The grenade evokes his military background
The middle section: emphasizes his stay in France symbolized by the "Fleur-de-lys" superimposed on the oblique stripes of the Coat of Arms of Brouage where his children were born
The bottom section: underlines Pierre Miville's stay in Quebec. It bears the snake of the Coat of Arms of Jean de Lauzon who granted him his first land concessions, as well as the leaves and the acorns that explain the family name Deschênes
